Biografía
Trabaja en temas de alto impacto en Salud Pública. En sus comienzos se interiorizó en inmunología en los mecanismos anti-inflamatorios, luego el balance oxidativo en Síndrome Urémico Hemolítico (SUH), con modelos murinos y diversas técnicas inmunológicas. Durante el postdoctorado profundizó en la participación de las serino proteasas y sus inhibidores fisiológicos (SLPI) en la fisiopatogenia de la tuberculosis humana con diversas técnicas en animales y de microscopia. En el 2008 ingresó por medio del CIC al Servicio Antimicrobianos ANLIS-Malbrán. Actualmente dirige varias líneas de investigación con fondos propios caracterizando mecanismos enzimáticos de resistencia a los antibióticos de alto impacto clínico en enterobacterias. Estos mecanismos son estudiados con técnicas bioquímicas, microbiológicas y genéticas. En los últimos años, ha puesto especial énfasis en el análisis bioinformático de secuencias obtenidas por técnicas de secuenciación a gran escala (Next Generation Sequencing).
